Turn Scans Into Jobs

Your postcards landed. Leads are coming in. Here's how to close them.

Step 1

Speed Wins

  • When someone scans your QR code, they’re interested RIGHT NOW.

  • Respond within 5 minutes and you’re 10x more likely to win the job.

  • Set WhatsApp notifications on — don’t miss the buzz.

  • Have a template reply ready: “Hi [name], thanks for getting in touch! When’s a good time for me to pop round for a free quote?”

Step 2

The First Message

  • Be personal — use their name if they gave it.

  • Be specific — reference the street (“I was just working on Elm Street”).

  • Be available — offer 2–3 time slots, don’t make them chase you.

  • Don’t hard sell — offer a free, no-obligation quote.

Step 3

Qualify Fast

  • Ask what the problem is (don’t assume from the card type).

  • Ask for photos if possible — saves you a wasted trip.

  • Give a rough ballpark if you can (“typically £X–£Y for that kind of job”).

  • Book the callout while they’re on the phone — “How’s Thursday morning?”

Step 4

On The Doorstep

  • Show up on time, every time.

  • Bring before/after photos of similar jobs on your phone.

  • Give a written quote on the spot or within 24 hours.

  • Mention you’re working locally — “I’m on your street a lot, so no call-out fee.”

Step 5

After The Job

  • Ask for a review (Google, Trustpilot).

  • Leave a few business cards.

  • Ask: “Know any neighbours who might need similar work?”

  • Their next campaign from StreetStrike could target the same street again.
